About Us

Australian Pacific Aviation (APA), is a flight training school which operates out of Heck Field, a small airfield located amongst the cane fields near Jacobs Well. Established in 1989 APA is one of the oldest Recreational Aviation Australia (RA-Aus) flight training schools in the country. Whilst studying with APA you will receive theory and practical lessons from dedicated instructors that each have decades of flying experience and more importantly, instructors that possess the ability to pass their knowledge and experience on to you.

Located in a designated flight training area, Heck Field is an ideal airfield for future pilots to train at as flight sequences can commence as soon as you are airborne. Located in a most beautiful part of the world and only minutes away from places such as Surfers Paradise, North Stradbroke Island and the Gold Coast hinterland, the stunning scenery means that no two flights will be the same.
